A funny story about a business meeting

I was in a business meeting at a very high powered organization in Manhattan. Prior to the meeting, an agenda was circulated which I had printed and read.

I have this habit of circling misspellings just for my own personal amusement which I happened to do on my personal copy of the agenda. There were only a few but I did circle them.

So just before the meeting kicked off, the organizer (the person who had written the agenda) announced that he had forgotten to run copies of the agenda and asked if anyone had a copy. A twist of fate caused my copy to be the only one available.

So when the organizer came back and handed out the copies, everyone noticed the circles and asked for an explanation and I was required (red-faced) to admit that I had circled the misspellings. It was funny at the time and especially funny in retrospect. The organizer didn't seem angry but he did make a couple comments about how in the future, "I had better run spellcheck or Jim will circle my mistakes."
