Why I hate flash sites

My wife asked me what I wanted from Burger King. So I figured I will just go to the site and look at the menu. Easy enough.

So I type in burgerking.com and open to a world map so I click on North America. Then the adventure begins.

The opening screen is just a picture of a sandwich and sponge bob chicken fries so I hover over the sandwich and fries and something spins around on the screen telling me what those items are.

So I take a chance and click on the sponge bob fries and it takes me to a page with a menu link on it.

It really makes you wish for the days of static pages with links. Sheesh.

If you've ever seen the website "webpages that suck", they have a term for this type of site navigation - they call it "mystery meat navigation" which means you can't determine what the site is until hovering or clicking on the navigation elements. Very annoying.
