Does UPS read their emails?

I had a package that UPS said they delivered. I sent them an email saying I never got it.

Here's my original email:
I never got this package. There is no way I can see that it was placed on our front porch. We were all home all day yesterday. Also, we have a dog who goes nuts when UPS comes. Usually they ring the doorbell when they drop it off. I looked for this package all day because I knew it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I suspect they put it on the wrong porch.

Here's what UPS sent back (I took out the address, etc):
Thank you for your inquiry regarding tracking number x. I have checked the status of your shipment in our tracking system. Our records indicate that your Ground shipment was delivered on 01/10/07 at 5:04 PM to the following address:
x
Your shipment was delivered to the following location:
FRONT PORCH
If you did not receive your package, you can either contact the shipper, or follow the steps below to enter an investigation. I recommend you contact the shipper, since you, as the receiver, may not have all the necessary information to initiate this investigation.

So after my own investigation (driving around) then here's what I wrote back:
You delivered it to my neighbor. I had to take it off his porch. What I found out was that if I didn't find it I was going to have a pretty hard time proving that I didn't receive it. The vendor and you would think I just stole it. Luckily I found it or I guess I would be out the money. I knew it didn't come here.

Here's what UPS sent to me today:
Thank you for your response. At this time, a delivery investigation needs to be initiated by you or the shipper. Please reference the previous e-mail regarding the initiation of the investigation.
I apologize again, that I am unable to assist you at this time. Please contact us if you need any additional assistance.

So do you think they read the emails?
